MakeRIC.com is a central Virginia "makers" group focused on do-it-yourself projects with electronics, programming, and crafts. Using the RSS feed provided by Netflix that displays the most recent titles added to the Watch Now library, this application consumes the feed and displays each title with its cover art and movie synopsis.
Users can search through the titles and descriptions for keywords, customize the number of columns (titles) that show on each row, and select one of three cover art sizes.
Items that appear at the top of the page are the titles that were most recently added. In many cases these titles do not appear on the Netflix page and new titles are not easy to find.
Using Processing.js the screen shown below creates several spheres at random points on the map and then moves them into a fixed orbit, each with a different velocity.
